Lola Young announces new album ‘I’m Only F**king Myself’

Lola Young has announced her second album ‘I’m Only F**king Myself’.

The South London star is set to release her highly-anticipated record on September 19, which will arrive via Island/Day One – pre-save/pre-order here. Produced by frequent collaborators Manuka and SOLOMONOPHONIC (Doja Cat, SZA), Young described the record as “my ode to self sabotage, my chance to claw myself back from the edge of defeat” on social media.

‘I’m Only F**king Myself’ will serve as follow-up to her 2024 debut album ‘This Wasn’t Meant For You Anyway’, which featured her breakout viral hit ‘Messy’.

So far, Young has previewed the “liberating and sexy” single ‘One Thing’, which she said “highlights sex being both a fun and light thing, not always meaningful, as well as showing how gender roles can be reversed.”

Ahead of ‘I’m Only F**king Myself’, Young will release her brand new single ‘Not Like That Anymore’ this Friday (June 20). Sharing a preview on social media, Young sings over the breezy instrumentation: “And I got a little kick out of declining your call / I guess that means I don’t need your dick at all / And so I’m fucking myself, but not like that anymore”. Listen to a snippet of ‘Not Like That Anymore’ here and see the tracklisting below:

Lola Young’s ‘I’m Only F**king Myself’ tracklist is:

‘How long will it take to walk a mile?’ (interlude)
‘F*CK EVERYONE’
‘One Thing’
‘d£aler’
‘SPIDERS’
‘Penny Out of Nothing’
‘Walk All Over You’
‘Post Sex Clarity’
‘SAD SOB STORY! :)’
‘CAN WE IGNORE IT? :(‘
‘why do i feel better when i hurt you?’
‘Not Like That Anymore’
‘who fucking cares?’
‘ur an absolute c word’ (interlude)

NME caught up with Young when she received the Rising Star Award at this year’s Ivor Novello Awards.

The singer told us about the background of ‘Messy’, which ranked as one of the biggest songs of 2025 so far. “I just wrote it from a really personal place and it can sometimes be re-triggering hearing that song because it was so intense,” she told us at the awards ceremony. “I’m out of that place now, out of that difficult time in my life.”

“I think it’s just a relatable song. A lot of people don’t feel like they’re enough for somebody; they don’t feel like they’ll ever win.”

She is soon to make her Glastonbury debut next weekend, and will then embark on a lengthy North American headline tour. Get any remaining tickets here and see all dates below:
