Agent warns United to lower their demands as Serie A giants circle for in-demand attacker

Transfer intermediary, Vincenzo Morabito, has warned Manchester United that they must lower their asking price for Jadon Sancho this summer.

The Red Devils agreed a loan plus obligation deal last summer with Chelsea to rid themselves of the problematic winger.

Despite scoring in the Conference League final, the Blues did not agree to buy the player and paid the £5 million penalty fee to send him back to Old Trafford.

Ruben Amorim has no appetite for integrating the winger back into the squad and he has been told to find a new club by the end of the transfer window.

Multiple Saudi Arabian clubs and SSC Napoli have recently been linked with a move for him. It was relayed here yesterday that United would ask for £30 million to part ways with the winger.

In an interview with Radio CRC (via Tuttomercatoweb), transfer intermediary Vincenzo Morabito has warned United that their price tag is unrealistic for Napoli to do a deal.

Commenting on the negotiations he claimed, “Ruben Amorim has made it very clear he does not want Sancho or Marcus Rashford in pre-season training.”

As a consequence, “Manchester United are going to have to lower their expectations for Sancho, because they cannot ask for €25m for a player who has one year left on his contract and earns €18m per season wages.”

The agent did suggest there was scope for a deal but that United would need to show some flexibility.

He added, “this operation is feasible, but we need to see how tough Manchester United can be holding out here, because Sancho is a good player and did pretty well at Chelsea. Cristiano Giuntoli wanted to bring him to Juventus last year, but then it didn’t go through.”

United are in a difficult situation as they need to raise money through player sales to carry out their own summer spending plans.

What’s more, clubs know they are desperate to offload the likes of Sancho, Antony, Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho. Therefore, they will likely try to take advantage of United’s need to sell with low offers to test the club’s patience.
