5 Michigan Bands You Need to Know, by Saturdays at Your Place’s Esden Stafne

Kalamazoo, Michigan emo band Saturdays At Your Place are set to follow their great 2023 EP Always Cloudy with their sophomore album (and Wax Bodega debut) These Things Happen this Friday (9/12), and ahead of the release, singer/bassist Esden Stafne has told us about 5 Michigan bands that everyone should know. They range from smaller local picks to some bigger artists that you may already know, and one of them just so happens to also be releasing a new album this Friday. SAYP are also gearing up to support the album on a tour with two other great emo bands, Carly Cosgrove and Riley!. That hits Brooklyn’s Elsewhere Hall on November 14. SAYP will also be in NYC before the tour for a performance & signing at Rough Trade Below on September 30. All tour dates are listed below.
