5 London Bands to Know, by Deathcrash

UK slowcore torch-carriers deathcrash are releasing their third album Somersaults this Friday (2/27) via untitled (recs), and I’ll have more to say about it in Notable Releases this Friday but–spoiler–it’s a good one. Possibly their best yet. They’ll also be playing NYC’s Night Club 101 (2/26) on the eve of its release with support from Richard Orofino and I highlight recommend checking out that show.

To coincide with the album’s release, the London band made us a list of 5 bands to know from their home city. One of them released one of 2025’s most widely-acclaimed albums, but the others are a little more under-the-radar, and one actually just called it quits last year. They shared the list in the form of a very enticing video, and you can check that out below. After that, go check out all the bands they mention.
