So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

WAR ON WOMEN – “MESSAGES UNSENT”
War on Women announced their fifth album, Time. Under Tension, due out May 8 via Smartpunk. About new single “Messages Unsent,” vocalist Shawna Potter says, “This is the first love song I’ve written in a long time, certainly the first in this band. It’s about the idea that once you really have something to lose, a partner or a life you don’t get forever, I like the idea that love can live on. We wanted to create a video as bittersweet and nostalgic as the song itself so we opted to revisit the first tour we did post-2020, when we weren’t sure if we’d ever get to play live music again. The joy of gathering against such a tragic backdrop mimics the songs themes of love and loss.”

EARTH TONGUE – “ORBIT OF A WITCH”
Berlin based duo Earth Tongue just released new album Dungeon Vision which was produced by Ty Segall and this is the new single and video. The band’s Gussie says, “We received a curious message from the NZ Stage and Screen Combat School, which we quickly learned is a medieval mecca – and in Birkenhead no less. They’d heard we were into dungeons and came bearing an offer: Would we be interested in using their dungeon services in any way? Of course we jumped at the chance, and before we knew it we were donning chainmail and swinging swords like true LARPers. Turns out chainmail is heavy, believe it or not, so we recruited head honcho Alexander to play the knight in the video, while Liv Tennet shimmied her way through the medieval disco”
